Stairway to Heaven Part 1In the year 2183, mankind finally proved without a shadow of a doubt that we are not the only sentient beings in the universe.During a scientific search of Pluto in 2130, audio capture stations picked up a constant, streaming signal from the depths of unknown space. English scientist Leonard James Oxford spent years researching the signal, and building a device that would recieve the signal, and convert it from Data to a physical manifestation. The Stairway to Heaven, as Oxford later dubbed it, was the result of his hard work, and a great deal of funding. Legacy of the Battle-MageBran'draghak, Land of High Arcana, ruled over by the mages of Neavenmyhr. Since the time of 'The Great Purification,' when Grand Magister Neavyr lead the crusade against the uneducated primitive people of the world, and established his great city, these great spell-wielders have controlled the aristocracy, and guided the flow of world events. Those that dare speak against the council were captured and taken far from civilization, placed in fetid labor camps in the desert of flaming sand.
